Course Description
Student will learn how to enter information about the various tasks involved, resources required to accomplish the tasks, and the overall cost in order to plan a project. Microsoft® Office Project Professional 2013/16 acts as a tool that assists you in managing your projects. In this course, you will create and modify a project plan.

Course Objective
Student will learn how to enter information about project tasks, resources required to accomplish the tasks, duration and cost estimates to complete the project work and how to baseline projects to . Microsoft® Office Project Professional 2013/16 acts as a tool that assists you in managing your projects.


Target Student
This course is designed for a person who has an understanding of project management concepts, who is responsible for creating and modifying project plans, and who needs a tool to manage these project plans.

Instructor led, group-paced, online-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • create a project plan file and enter task information.

  • create a work breakdown structure by organizing tasks and setting task relationships.

  • assign project resources.

  • finalize the project plan file.

  • exchange project plan data with other applications

  • manage project costs

  • report project data visually

Phil Williams is a consultant, speaker and senior instructor with Banyan Group Consulting.  He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) with extensive experience working with clients large and small across many industries.  

As an instructor, Phil brings knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to his classes and workshops.  It’s his personal mission to deliver knowledge that will enable project management professionals to be more effective and achieve greater success. 

Phil has a BBA from Baylor University and currently lives in the Texas hill country near Boerne.
